Hello. as you all know my car well i finished breaking it in and dropped the 550's in..My friend and i are tunning it our selfs but we have came up with a problem.. the car is currently running 10psi with the aem fic. ok so heres the problem i take the car to 3rd gear 3k rpms and press the gas all the way the can doesn't move the wide band reads 10.0 flat and sometimes it would jump up to the 14s and higher it feels like its drowning or something. now i do the same thing but press the gas slow then stomp on it then it would take it to 10psi and the wide band would read 11.5-12.5.

i think it might have something to do with my spark plugs gap since i never changed the gap on them. today i'm going to lower the gap to .028 so see what it does.

has anyone ever came up with this problem..i'll try to get a video up

 

Are you really gonna run the AEM FIC on that brand new engine you just built?

Try to type a little bit better. Like use some capitalization. Then I'll tell you what to do to fix it.

 

As per the other thread.. I'd recommend another system. Megasquirt, Hydra or Electromotive TEC.

 

You are running BKR7E's correct?

 

With that much money into a motor theres no way I would cheap out on tuning. As stated, get a better ecu find someone who knows how to tune.

Yeah dude, please dont tune that motor with that ****. Stop while you are ahead, and save up some bucks or whatever it takes to buy a real standalone ecu. Then i would get it tuned professionally. Only reason i say this is because you have 2k+ in your motor, why **** it up now.

 

sounds like
1) Not enough timing
2) too much fuel
3) not enough experience

 

thanks for your help i'll just get a stand alone but i can't find a megasquirt for my car.
and for the spark plugs i'm running the BKR5E i'm going to get the BKR7Es today...
