Default Special Adhesive for Soft Top Repair?

I have a few holes, and a long rip near the top edge of the glass. (2001 miata tan factory top)

I've already tried a special outdoor vinyl and fabric glue from home depot, it didn't work well. I waited a full 24 hours for cure time, but the glue keeps reactivates in the sun, and is basically useless. Also had very poor tackiness during application, which made it difficult to use. (used fabric and glue as a bandaid type of fix, as the package recommended for the strongest bond)

Anyone have luck with a specific product? Or some type of waterproof patch that adheres well?

Thank you

Well, I'll give the tenacious tape a try, and update the thread with results. Thank you.

Loctite Vinyl, Fabric, And Plastic Flexible Adhesive. Fabric glue won't work well edge to edge. Most tops come with the window area included, I keep that around to make patches, give the glue some surface area to latch on to by sandwiching the rip in fabric.

^thats the exact product I used unsuccessfully. It peeled itself off after being cured.

I used the VLC Adhesive, probably Loctite brand. It was the strongest part of the top when i was done. Trick is to get some vinyl to patch with underneath. My local boat shop had some that matched, i patched underneath and never had a problem of any kind.
