Anyone know how to adjust the steering rack on a 1991 ?
I know there are two adjusters on the rack....but that's all I know
Is there any way to test the rack to see if it's in good condition without taking it apart ?
I've a little play in mine and want to sort it/tighten it up.

The gears are more than likely just worn out. I would suggest just replacing it with new or a good used rack.

I had it looked at before, but I (or the mechanic) didn't know it was a problem with the rack at the time. He said it was just lose and tightened it up a bit - problem was solved.
I've upgraded to sports springs and KYB adjustables, and those poly bushings he he he he
I changed all the bolts, alighment sets etc and the problem came back.
Think it may just be better to replace the entire rack and be done with it.
