I've seen some places like Planet Miata asking some crazy prices for the stock ecu. I just have a hard time believing they're actually worth anything. Is there any demand at all for them? Maybe ebay or something?

 

I gave mine away after it spent 5 months as a paperweight.

 

i get all mine off ebay for like 10 bucks if i need another. I think i have one sitting around as a matter of fact

 

Funnest thing I ever did with mine:

Right after MSing, I took it to my uncle's shop to swap clutch. I was going over some things I had done, sitting in the car while he was standing outside driver's door. When he asked why I installed an IAT sensor I just handed him the stock ECU from the floorboard and turned the key as he was staring at what he had in his hands.

 

*Sigh* This is about the response I was expecting.

Let me know before you buy one off ebay, I'll cut you a good deal on one

 

I keep it for passing smog. If MS could properly trigger EGR and CEL, then it would be gone.
