I called on a car once and even though it was a great deal I didn't end up going to check it out. The guy sounded kinda Turkish and as you all know I'd rather be a Paki than a Turk.

here's what I brought home







it's a 2.5" catback exhaust, a cat and 1/4th of a downpipe. no brand name anywhere. seller claimed "3 inch flyin' miata turboback". he also had a 1.8 diff in the trunk. I asked him if it was a torsen, he said it was "an LSD". Didn't know what type. But he was "swapping it into his car". he also referred to the flex pipe as "the resonator". I think the cut downpipe tells the whole story!

Right.... so, anyone recognize the exhaust?

Someone on miata.net is confused why their car is suddenly so loud. But at least you got a nice score.

 

Apparently the seller wasn't 100% full of **** - it's an early Flyin' Miata exhaust.

BTW- the cat looks like the old cat off my car, so it is probably an FM cat. The PO bought everything they had to offer, minus a built engine.
