so get another tach?
I dunno what to tell you, but I feel like this is going nowhere. We can't help you if you can't tell us coherently what is wrong, what kinda troubleshooting you did, and what the results of said troubleshooting were. I don't even follow what you're trying to say in your posts, and I'm genuinely trying to help you. Good luck. |
also i smell a non burned gaz from muffler?? is it may help so the coil is three or four pins??
thank you so much for your help..i understand but i am new miata lover..:)the whole thing is i want to fix my tachometer..so shop told me it has power and signal so it is bad?? i bought the second one and replaced it myself..but i still have the same problem..!!
if you smell unburnt fuel. And your tach signal is erroneous. It seems fairly obvious you have a bad coil pack.
so is it the tree or four pins? is it easy to replace?
Also what i have is a signal?? it does not move?? it is just move when i turn the car on..then stop..and go back when i turn it off??

no idea what you're asking about with the pins, I don't have an na. yes it is very easy to replace a coil pack. takes 2 minuts
thank you i will keep u posted..
Vlad, from my deciphering, I believe he already replaced the tach.
OP, look in the for sale section for used coil packs, or look on ebay. |

Dudes. 95.5+ have the tach driven from the ecu. The change corresponded with the change between 4 pin coils and 3 pin coils. If you have 3 pin coils the tach its driven by the ecu, if you have 4 pin coils the coils drive the tach.

Leafy gets a "not a dumbass noob award" for his post.

some one told me it is the CAS..??Can i clean it or i have to buy it new..??
it's not the CAS. that sends the cam position back to the ECU in order to run the car. If the engine is running, the cas is working.
the ECU interperts the CAS readings and sends a tach signal out to the dash. |
