so I've had this miata for some time, love the car, plan on turbocharging it soon, but I'm having this super weird problem I can't figure out. My tail lights nor my interior dash lights work when I turn them on, headlights work, brake lights only work when braking, but they won't dim when lights are on, no idea what's wrong, I need suggestions fast, it's my daily driver and I hate being pulled over for stupid stuff like lights, thanks so much.

 

What model Miata (NA/NB/NC/ND)? On the NA, check the fuse box in the driver's side foot well. There are 3 fuses to check - one labeled TAIL, another labeled METER and lastly one labeled ROOM. It's likely the TAIL fuse is blown. This typically happens when accidentally grounding a positive connection to the chassis when installing a radio or some other accessory. If the fuse is the problem AND this happens frequently after replacement, you have another issue to troubleshoot.
