Default TDC Mark

The colored mark on my crank pulley is gone, and the pulley is off the car. Is there some way to accurately put that mark back based on the extra hole on the pulley?

I can't remember if there is a colored mark on the crank pulley, but I know you can see the mark on the crank pulley with a timing gun.

On every pulley I've seen, there was a physical notch in the edge (a small one, to be sure) which represented the timing mark. Are you certain yours does not have this?

Mine has two identical notches, one that lines up with my use-the-dipstick-down-a-spark-plug-hole method of finding TDC, and one that looks about 5 degrees off from that.
