Team 949 Racing/SuperMiata field E1 and E3 entire for 2012 WERC series

Having won the year long battle for the 2011 WERC series in E2 and also won 2011 T25, we decided to step it up a notch. For 2012 we are building an entirely new NB Miata to compete in E1 and William is building a new NB for E3. Trackdayhookey has added his E3 Miata to our team as well. We figure if wining one class at T25 is fun, then wining two classes must be even more fun.

The most exciting news is the return to Infineon to the WERC series calendar. Not only do we get to race an enduro at Infineon but they're extending race distance to 4 hours! That, dear friends, is several kinds of awesome. It's hard to put into words how excited we all are to race a 4hr at Infineon in a fast Miata. It's just about as good as it gets.

March 11 - 4hr day, Infineon Raceway :jump:
April 21 - 3hr day/night, Buttonwillow Raceway
May 20 - 4hr day, Thunderhill Raceway
June 23 - 3hr day/night, Buttonwillow Raceway
Sept 30 - 3hr day, Infineon Raceway
Oct 13 - 3hr day/night Buttonwillow Raceway
December 8-9 USAF 25 Hours of Thunderhill

That's 45 hours of racing per car. Yowza. Endurance racing is taking off here in California. Trackspeed engineering is building a car to develop new hardware for you all. Pretty sure that will be an E1 car too we expect some good battles there.

 

You have your awesome race series, I can walk into Wal-mart and out with a gun.

 

It think we might be fielding 1 or 2 2012 Civic Si's in E1 next year at the 25 Hr. If so it should be a good battle...
