but be sure that the dust boot stays intact and you are fine... looking at your ride height settings there shouldnt be anything to worry about. those who have problems are the ones that set their cars to the ground.

OK I'm dragging up an older thread here but I have some important info to add. With the rear ride height set at 12-3/4" I was having problems with spring bind or spring lock on the rear. There is this one large bump I go over everyday when it happens. It basically sounds like a sharp knock like something is bottoming out.
Here is the deal, hard to describe but I'll try... With the spring preload adjuster set too high, the spring has less usable distance to travel before the spring fully compresses; the spring completely compresses meaning there is no more space between the coils and they slap into each other. So what happens is the spring runs out of travel before the bump stop on the shock rod can bottom out and do its job, stopping the suspension travel gently. Thus the spring rate suddenly goes to infinity relatively speaking and the suspension comes to a sudden stop. Bam! In fact I could see a small ring running around the coils where the dust had been knocked off from the contact.
So I dropped the rear ride height to 12-1/4" (lowered 1/2"). I'll know soon if it takes care of the problem. 12-3/4" is actually higher then the adjustment range that Tein specifies. I tried them a little higher to keep from dropping the ride height so much. Now I know why they specify an upper limit to the ride height.

Hopefully that fixes it for you. While i was researching suspensions and spring lengths there was a fair amount is discussion concerning what length springs to use when using adjustable perches with particular shock. I bet that extra 1/2" straightens the issue out and I bet it looks a little better at 12-1/4".

OK well I went for a long drive today and went over some pretty good bumps, including the one that usually causes the problem. No more spring bind. The bump stops are doing their job now.
