Default thoughts on my plugs?

not sure if I should be happy with this or switch to a hotter plug. This is after street driving, not the track. thanks t

and I had a proper compressor inlet pipe made and put the air box back in thanks to Mr. ARTech:

How many miles? Looks OK to me but I'm no expert.

That's one track event and some street driving.

Thanks for not making fun of my aids camera.

I tried to stick the bore scope down the sparker wells but I don't have enough resolution to tell the difference between carbon and detonationdeath.

Let me give you a little heads-up, I'm a necrophiliac and there is nothing I love more than raping a disfigured corpse. Do not make it onto my todo list.

I was sure the pics would be more like this on a "plugs" thread by Hustler. I'd hate to read one of those for detonation or lean conditions.

haha.

Are there any sparkles when you look down the insulator with the scope? Or is it just flat black?

sparkles...but it could be crap from taking the plugs out. The detonation I've seen with the naked eye didn't sparkle, it looked rough or hazy. I also can't bend the scope around to look at the ring-lands.

There is zero peppering on the plugs; perfect medium gray on the electrode.

I need Xanex or Paxil, lol.

Will spark plugs indicate detonation absolutely? The insulator and electrodes are perfectly smooth, no metal on them at all, only perfect smoothness like most women who present themselves for insemination.

I may take the car to a buddy's shop and drop a little coin to look at the pistons. I almost want to take the head off just so I can sleep at night. This has bothered me for months.

Just. Chill. Out.

You have to have some degree of confidence in the setup you have put so much research and work into.

Not to mention that worrying accomplishes NOTHING. Either be enjoying it, or planning for the possibilities...as long as you are doing something.

I read the other day the main cause of unhappiness is either thinking too much about the past, or worrying too much about the future. Be happy son, live in the now.

If and when it blows up you'll be pissed you didn't just smile while you could.

Your plugs look fine, but you jack off entirely too much to take close up shots with a cheap camera.

Use that "coin" to buy a new camera instead.

Thank you for the reality check. After savingAIDS' meltdown is scared me and I want to be certain.

I suppose that since:
current spark range at 11.5psi = 27-32* advance from 4k-7k
MBT occurred at = 31-36*
max spark at 4000rpm without det was 35*

I guess its safe and I should possibly lean it back out to 11.5:1 considering I'm tearing up oil too fast...or switch to RLI.

I would suggest you stop looking at plugs, bores, etc. Do a hot leakdown and note that it's <3%. Then do a dyno run with detcans and notice there is no det.

Prepare for next year.

Profit.

Meanwhile, take some focus lessons.

A leak won't tell me if there is minor detonation, it will only tell me when the motor is "done." The dyno doesn't tell me what's happening after 30-minutes of track action with extended load.

I'll extend a load for you if you like.

Just take it to the track and treat it like the ***** it is. I have confidence that it will survive.
