Thread size for steering rack fittings

What sizes are the threads for the small line fittings and the main steering assembly. $50 + shipping for the miata roadster kit is convenient, I have a pipe place close by. I think I get get a better price on plugs. I just don't know the thread sizes. Anyone know for sure?

The small line fittings are M12 x 1.0 with about 5mm of thread below the bolt head.

The two larger ones are different sizes. One is M14 x 1.5 and the other is M16 x 1.5. Both are 8-9mm long below the head.

Bolts with those thread sizes will be difficult to find in those short lengths. You will probably have to buy longer ones and cut them down.

Thank you. I will go to the hydraulic fitting store and see what I can find.

Thanks for the information as well...

FWIW I think those sizes are the same for all cars up through 95, and later years were different. I think they changed to using two M16s instead of one M14 and one M16, but I'd think the smaller line fittings should be the same. Not sure what sizes the NBs used.

Anyone able to source the M12x1.0??? I can't find those anywhere. I'll make one more effort tomorrow, otherwise I think I will buy the miataroadster kit.

'96-97 steering racks have different sized fittings.

I found the M14 and M16 no problem, but the guy said the M12x1.0 were an odd fitting. He's only seen them once. They were from a german diesel engine manufacturer.
