Correct, 3 torx then a 17mm bolt, torque to 48-62 ft/lbs I think.

The 4 10mm bolts are what would make the assembly come apart.

Torx bit, and you are going to want an impact gun to remove them. They are cheese-grade soft and a regular torx bit on a hand wrench will strip them.

The torx bolts can be purchased for not a lot of dollars from mazda. Or I'm sure someone could find some harder ones at mcmaster. (if you do post a link plz)

They’re the same m5 as momo steering wheel bolts. The 3mm Allens like to strip too, but as sav said using impacts help. If you’re down to the last screw, tap the plate left loosey to break the bolt loose.
