Default Too fat for a Miata? (285lb)

Hi forum! this is my first post so please excuse my ignorance but here goes nothing

I purchased a 1990 Mazda Miata about a week ago,it is my first manual car and low sports car so needless to say,I'm challenged, vbut entertained.HOWEVER
A.when i come to stops, make hard turns or go up hills I will hear a loud creaking. I know the car is stock, and there is no noticeable rust. Do i just need to switchout the bushings and struts for coilovers or do you think there is more to this

2.SINCE im larger,i will hear a bit of a scrape entering certain places, how can i prevent this without losing the handling of the miata?

thanks in advanced.

Welcome.
1.) Make an introducty post in the meet and greet section.
2.) Your fine, miatas squeak. And scrape, just slow down over the speed bumps.
