i have a torsen rear end.. atleast it should be lol
i noticed last night when i took it out for a spin for the first time in 5 months and i noticed 1 wheel would spin for a couple seconds then the other would kick in immediately and both would spin till the rpms droped.
isnt the torsen supposed to not allow one wheel to spin alone? or is mine working right

you sure someone didn't "retro" fit a viscous back there? If you have a torsen it wont mysteriously "not work" - it either works, or your car doesn't drive. Find a parking lot, put car in first, crank steering wheel all the way to the left, and give the car a good hammering briefly. If the back end wants to run away, you've got a torsen, if it jumps briefly but doesn't run away on you, then sorry...

when i had the "problem" i was pulling out of a gas station going right. my drivers side was spining but the passenger wasnt. i have OK tires but i can kick the rear end out with little effort. and im only at 5psi
how big of a dip was the pull-out into the road
$1 says your wheel actually left the ground while the other 3 wheels were on the ground (if you were turning right, it was your driver's side tire that spun) you were actually going pretty slow when it happened, possibly stopped, then tried to pull out into dense traffic?
if this is the case, your torsen (which you've clearly suggested it is), was acting properly

I too think it was working right. My understanding is that it is a TQ biased differential, not totally locked. When you are in a corner one tire has to spin some as outside tire travels further. If it was a locker you would really scuff the inside tire. David
