Default Trunk popping open!

Twice in the past two days, I was driving along, on a boring flat road, and the trunk suddenly opened!

There's nothing in the trunk that would prevent it from closing properly, nor is there anything in the console touching the release latch.

So .... WTF !!!???

I drive on the highway a lot. Afraid of losing something or being involved in / causing an accident.
