What kind of times do you think a well built miata like savingtons or hustlers would run at the ring?

 

6 minutes in mine, 7 in Savington's.

Some get on Forza and make it happen.

 

I vote that hustler/savington try it.

It depends. The only way to run the whole course is to attend one of the $1000 exclusive trackdays as the tourisfahrten use the long straight for cooling and enter/exit Grune Holle/parking. Thats why you often see people bragging about the BridgeToGantry time which is about a minute less (?).
I think a 250-300 whp miata would do sub 8 mins BTG easely but not neccesarely the driver. I have about 90 laps in my MSM and is still a noob.
I have done a lot of trackdays on other regular tracks (2km ) but there is no stretch of tarmac that scares me more then the Nordschleife.
You guys should start saving and come down in 12-15 october. Track is open for public driving 4 whole days. They have started renting out track prepped NC's instead of the Suzuki swifts as well.

Edit: he did a BTG of 8:37 in that one but could obviously go faster with increased track familiarity. He is no Sabine Schmitz, but then, few men are.
