Uber-long clutch line - where to buy?
I planned on running a single braided ptfe line from the clutch master to slave ... I was so confident I was going to do this that I ditched my OEM hardline.
Now that Bill @ miataroadster has his site temp down, ordering his line appears to not be an option. This leads to the question - anyone else sell a long line? Or am I going to have to hit a Parker/brake shop and have one made? This would leads to a second question - Assuming I have one made, can someone provide the fitting specs? -Zach |

lol, I didn't actually read the OP. if you're going with a ptfe line, you could easily just make your. I buy a lot of stuff from siliconeintakes.com

why not make a single uber long hard line?
just add lots of flexy service loop coils. can prob get it at auto parts store "in the back" where they likely have many hanging. |

Late night googling success - thanks for nuttin' MT.netters! |
Which is exactly what I posted. Good thing you read what we wrote moron

That won't reach the master cylinder.
That is basically the same as the TSE one. This thread sucks. 0/10 |

Okay ... plan B time.
Does anyone know the fitting for the slave/master? It appears to be the same pitch inverted flare. At this point I'd like to just get some JIC adapter fittings and run a -3an line between the two. -Zach |

But since you're in no hurry (apparently), you can always wait until MR can take orders. The 'best' option, IMO, would be a single line with 10mm inverted flare ends crimped directly to the line/hose ... doubtful I can find that local. Regardless, this thread sucks and I apologize to all involved. -Zach |
why not just get another upper oem hardline for pennies from someone and run the curly Q delete from whatever vendor you like? or you just trying to be unique and have your own custom clutch line all the way to the slave?
EDIT: I called you a moron because you posted a link that I had just posted, which was a result of me not reading your post, but then you didn't read my post so there |

Two adapters and a long -3AN line is what you want. Or get the OEM hardline out of a yard and buy our clutch line. |

Or at all. Nobody makes a 10x1.0mm inverted flare swivel fitting, and you would need at least one (preferably two) to actually get that line installed. We looked long and hard for that fitting when we designed our clutch line, and it definitely isn't out there AFAIK.

Just order two of TSE's special fittings and a long -3 line. They appear to be the same on both ends. Might wanna double check that before going this route.
Also, this method has 4 leak points, 2 on either adapter. Which happens to be the same as an OEM hardline and TSE's clutch line. Food for thought. |
