Default Venting/Chopping up hood fun! Opinions wanted.

Alright, due to my "Fun with hoodpins" during track playtime Sunday... it's time to do the hood again. I'm looking forward to this actually, as I'd like to do it differently this time. Ducting will come up off the IC this time, instead of off the hood. I'd also like to incorporate a set of vents above the turbo area.

So... here is one of my old photochop concepts of a headlightless, 3 vent hood.

I think I'm going to do the 3 vent format... no reason really other than looks maybe at this point , I know I could just do a big single one again... but whatever. I'm going to do them with a holesaw on both sides of each opening, so its rounded on both sides and straight cut between. Simple right?

Now for the turbo area vent... I'm thinking angled and 3 of these also, using a smaller hole saw for the ends and smaller strips.
Or... maybe use the vents I had laid on the car before?

So if you can picture it, I'll do 3 smaller openings starting farther towards the front of the hood, spaced evenly back to where the old opening ended. Then either 3 little openings above the turbo... or one of those vents I have. Maybe both of them on both sides though? To keep the Intake Manifold cool while sitting?

Thoughts?

Def. put a balancing vent above the intake manifold. As a track bitch, I think diy venting is the way to go. Nicely done.

I would warn him for being an idiot but apparently that isn't politically correct in the world of forums....

Wait, he is still a newb, its not a honda, its most likely way more badass then his own car... bahahaha

Your venting plan sounds good, using the hole saw on the ends though. Do you plan to cut out the entire circle or just use it to cut the radius to fold the flap down? Removing the entire circle wouldn't look right but otherwise the 3 vent form looks great.

If you do the three bigguns, you won't need anything at the turbo. That's a guess based on my experience with one small extractor and a heat shield. If anything the turbo vent would be more of a traffic/stop light thing. I would plug up your turn signal holes and put the air source for your intake under it with hole through the chassis panel, rather than add pressure to the engine bay.
