Does anyone know if the stock fuel strainer will fit onto a Walbro fuel pump?

I ask because I have a walbro fuel pump from a previous turbo project car (integra) and found out that the part number for the pump is the same for the miata, but the strainer is different. Just trying to save on possible downtime.
