Default Weird window regulator?

This is from a 1992 Miata that my mother bought used in 2000 from the original owner. It had not options other than power windows. One of the regulators has stopped working, and this is what we found:

Anyone have any idea what these are or are from?

Must be some kind of aftermarket regulators, because those don't look anything like OEM. Did they actually function?

For 28 years, and functioned well.

Similar to some of the 323 ones, I guess it was dealer installed. Used factory switches...

We cleaned them and they are working again.

That looks fairly similar to a regulator my fiancee had for her NA years ago.

Except hers was a manual reg, not electric.

It came out of another NA, but tbh the owner of that one was a bit weird, so wouldnt suprise me if he'd done a hack job with some unrelated part to make it work.
