heater core question??? urgent!
so i just installed my second setup and I deleted the heater core the system, Ie capped of the return from the core, not fro the back of the head.. I am over heating and my return hose to the bottom of the rad is cool to the touch, Is it because the heater core has to return to the bottom rad hose??? I have both those port closed of down by the bottom rad hose..... what is going on??

so I eliminated the heater core all together and i runs 1000% times cooler now my next question was if there was air caught in the heater core because it was drained along with all the coolant it might have just kept air in there, I didn't bleed it the first time

It wouldn't matter if the heater core was full of air or had no air at all, if you'd capped off one end of it and also capped off the mixing manifold. There'd simply be no coolant flow through the back of the engine at all. Granted, having a bunch of air float back up into the engine wouldn't be helpful, but even if the system was properly bled and air-free, it'd still overheat.
I assume that now you have connected the outlet at the back of the head directly to the mixing manifold. If so, you've more-or-less restored normal coolant flow.
