alright, I'm pretty sure the ID of the hose is 3/8" so will this work?

so I need a 1/4"npt tap or what?

That link doesn't work but 1/4" NPT will work fine long as you can find fittings local.

that's wierd. link is of a 1/4npt 3/8 ID hose barb. Thanks cjernigan.
