At least a rb25/26 actually can make a fuckload of power with a stock motor. I wouldn't build a miata with that boat anchor in the front though personally.

I think the worst motor you could swap into a Miata is the 1.8T Volkswagen motor. I had a GTI once, and it was the most unreliable piece of crap.
