Default Question about valve covers.

Would a 1.6 cover fit on a 1.8 engine?

why are you asking anyway? did you find one that is in better shape or power coated or polished that you want to swap? or are you looking to send one out for the work and then swapping?

Found one I like but its for a 1.6. I would normally not care about how my engine looks but this is particularly very nice and I dont mind spending the money.

The bore spacing on the 1.8 is longer than the 1.6, and the cutout on the back for the CAS is on the exhaust cam of the 1.8 head, vs the intake cam on a 1.6 engine. Therefore a 1.6 valve cover will not fit onto a 1.8 engine no matter how clever a fabricator you are.
