Default Wish me luck...

So I made a meet and greet post like 3-4 days ago, where the car was running rough, I finally got it to idle and semi-drive around, I got it back to my house and promptly threw a rod. So now it goes under the knife for a new block, and to fix quite a few things I didn’t really care for myself, I’m from the VW/Audi scene and have built my fair share of 1.8t 20v engines, so I’m hoping it all translates pretty well. Wish me luck in this adventure. Hoping for a quick turnaround time

This should be in the build thread section then.

If you are level headed, good at taking and utilizing advice given here you can have a well built car.

Oops. This is the first forum I’ve used for cars. Little out-of-touch. Sorry about that!

Theres a lot done to the car I don’t really like, so I’m grateful for the opportunity to do it my way.

Combination of people being tight *****.

Plus dumb kids thinking it makes them/the car look tougher because "racecars don't have filters, so that means you dont need them"

and engine/turbo wearing out in 10k miles, instead of 100k.

i always wonder when going to the 1/4 mile track, what would happen if one of those cars with the huge megaphone style intake, ingests a pebble, or even a bird...

Yep.

So many kids seem to have this idea that every car on the road should be a racecar.

While the totally forget that racecars tend to have a LOT of decisions made in their design for speed rather than life.

****, you could throw a top fuller engine into a miata and have something completely stupid.
If you didnt mind having to rebuild the thing after running it for more than 30 seconds.

Reminds me of the ones you hear that buy super high temp race pads thinking they'll make the car stop much better.
Then they proceed to reverse the car into their front fence because the pads are stone cold and dont grip well until they've got some heat in them
