Default Would this turn you off when buying miata

I'm thinking about selling my miata after I take it to the dyno. While I decide if I want to sell it: I want to make it more DD friendly by putting the stock seats back in the car.

Would it turn you off when you went to look at a car if the race seats/mounts were offered with the car instead of installed in the car?

no because I could either keep the seats/mounts, find something that better fits me, or keep the stock seats

I'd prefer mouunted in case they fit me. However, you bought mine because they didn't when I got my '99. For some reason tranfering the Sparco's from my '97 to the '99 was a huge pain in the rear. I would leave them in and if you have the stockers laying around offer them with the car if you want. It's not hard to swap seats. Usually.

If you're selling the car, likelihood if someone wanting it with the non-stock seats is pretty slim considering how many people will be looking at the ad, and of those people I'd just about guarantee most of them don't want/need that added modification. However I would still go about listing it, because you may get someone who would appreciate your car. It's basically a toss up and well--let's be honest here, it's just a Miata Just get as much as you can for it, there are more.

When selling a car the more stock it is the easier it is to sell. That said, stock seats SUCK. Esp if they're leather.
Also why are you thinking of selling it?
Also why dyno if planning to sell?
Also don't sell it.

I'm on my 3rd miata because I regretted after selling

I think that is a bonus. Stock seats work fine for everyone. What if someone's behind does not fit into your race seats? Automatically lost the sale.

Another vote for the stock seats.

Personally, I'd tend to walk away from any car offered for sale with race seats installed unless there were something truly extraordinary about it. Unless it is an actual race car, I vastly prefer stock seats.

01+ leather seats are awesome.

99 leather seats are like sitting on an iron box

This is true. But even the 01s do absolutely nothing for you when taking a corner. Like sitting on a bench. I literally had to elbow the door to keep myself from sliding around, and I don't even take corners that fast.
