Would you say i need an oil cooler?

Put about 220 miles on the Miata today. Ambient temp today was about 85*. When crusing my oil temp was about 217-219. When I would get on it it would go up to about 222. Do you guys thing I should invest in one. Keep in mind come July and August ambient temps will be closer to 100*.

What ya think?

No i don't think you need one. Your oil will be fine at those temps, specially with good synthetic. You should do like Rob and compare your oil temp gauge against a digital thermometer in water while it raises to the boiling point to see how far off it is. Robs autometer read close to like 50* too hot.
