Oh, and the center caps don't look that bad...

Did the same to mine and seems that it makes it a little more fun than totally boring & stock looking

Hope to get some real wheels soon... but for now it was better than the damn yellowing centers that the car came with... lol

Cheers!

Hell, is my pleasure to lend a hand since it's a gray area to turbo an auto miata. I've learned that there are a few myths out there that are not completely accurate and had I known it earlier, some $$$ could have been saved up front.

For sure go out and read the book by Corky Bell called Maximum Boost, it's a great place to start. Then while reading the book, check out brain's sticky post in the FAQ section. Without that, you're doomed to failure.

Finally, learning from my mistakes... just go and do the BEGi S kit with the #1 IC, larger injectors, and of course a good ECU of sorts. (Bell is working on something now to go with the lower cost kits... so look into it before buying fuel items.) Anyhow, just let me know what your plans are and I'll help where I can. I've got just about every step photographed and noted...it will help if you are new to the Miata.

Good luck and cheers,
Prospero

I second Prospero's advice; it's really the path of least resistance and will likely save bucks in the end. Once you've read Corky's book and Brainack's sticky give Corky a call and talk to him about the Zoom3 he's working on, and that I'm waiting for. It should kill two birds (timing and injector duration) and if it works as advertised it could be a good way to get started.

Yeah, an turboautomatic pussymobile might be fun. Welcome!

Appreciate the advice. I have read all B's stickies, Bell's stuff next. Prospero apparently documented his install with precision notes and pics which should prevent at least 1/4 of my premeditated FU's. I'll look into the Zoom 3, it's a lot of info to digest when you come from an era when tuning and power were basically quadrajet, holley high rise, point gap, block seasoning, and window screening a carb. I feel old as hell now...metamucil and nap.

My auto I had wan't that bad after you took off. It would even bark second. But I had a cold air intake, exaust, and deleted to cat. If I was going to do low boost for a dependable daily driver, I'd go sc. It would really help the take off. I always thought I would get hit trying to pull out.
But I can't keep from upgrading. So turbo is the only way for me, as it is way cheaper to upgrade the power.
I'm sure the M62 would be wicked @ 10psi though.

And here comes the hate for talking about SC.
