Superchargers can be great, however most people will nudge you into a Turbo setup instead.
Me being one of them. |
yeah i plan on going with a gt2560r, and piecing the kit together with some new parts and other used

So I have most of the parts collected however I discovered I have an oil leak!! Good news when I looked under the car it looks as if its the rear main seal (there's oil all around where the transmission and engine join) so ill pull the engine fix that an mount the turbo

make sure to top off the flux capacitor

The flux capacitor used on the Miata (at least on the '90-'05 models) should have a sealed cap and a vent line which goes to the outside. If yours has a fill port on the top, I would seriously consider replacing it with an OEM-equivalent unit before it leaks dark matter all over the inside of the car. That stuff is impossible to clean up from the upholstery, and you *really* don't want it coming in contact with your skin. |

I heard the "OEM style" aftermarket units are rebuild-able, but OP might want to consult his local dealership.

Nope! Can't get it from the dealer anymore. You will have to go to the junkyard and get one. It is a real bitch to get it out. Just ask one of the part pullers at the junkyard on how to remove it.
