Your biggest kill...

We all know putting a turbo on a car that weighs half as much as most cars on the road that people try to make fast is pretty smart. Not to mention it being a car that most guys that need a big car/big engine to compensate for their small penis would more than likely say its a car for girls and queers just makes it that much easier to get a race. I know that as soon as my car is ready to race, IT WILL BE RACED. I also know that it will be beating cars that it was never made to run with. I figured I would start a thread that people could share their most memorable kills, (on the street or on the track). Beating a car that came off the show room floor, at one time, being made to dominate most other cars, can only be a life altering experience. Tell all what it was like to beat that car to the finish line or to the next light....

SamS 04-20-2007 12:54 PM

*We do not condone street racing on this forum!

Oh wait, it's not m.net.

I beat a Grand Prix once....

F20turbo 04-20-2007 12:55 PM

Ferrari F430 spyder (sorta...wasnt a straight line race...and i blew my tranny keeping up ), Dodge Viper GTS, Ferrarri 360 Modena, Acura Integra w/ A T3/T61. There are a lot more.

neogenesis2004 04-20-2007 01:04 PM

I killed my engine!

speedracerTD04 04-20-2007 01:18 PM

one time i shot a 6 pointer...

haha jk...no current kills yet as new owner...but my cousin i believe did a number on some cars.

m2cupcar 04-20-2007 01:39 PM

nothing around here but v6 suvs and luxo sedans

Newbsauce 04-20-2007 01:44 PM

It isn't much since I didn't get to run like 10 psi very long but an STI, and a G35. Looking forward to the built motor to step it up a notch.

Snowsurfer03 04-20-2007 01:45 PM

A few unsuspecting sti's and evo's!

Al Hounos 04-20-2007 01:49 PM

at the track had a better mph than several STis, some modded, an srt-4 with a big IC, an SR'd 240, a Mach 1 mustang w/boltons (i believe a mach 1 is a 4.6 dohc cobra motor without the blower) and a 99 Mustang with a stroker motor. (off the bottle only, with it he trapped like 93.

yeah thats right, second only to a supra in mph, but one of the slowest E.T.s there.

Dr. Nick 04-20-2007 01:50 PM

Both black Vipers in this town last summer, light to light.

Oscar 04-20-2007 02:49 PM

at the track a nissan micra 1.1 and some blue truck..:ugh2:

yadayada 04-20-2007 03:25 PM

sounds good, keep em commin'. Anybody beat a vette? And thats a CORvette, not a SHAvette. hahaha

Ben 04-20-2007 03:26 PM

neighbor's supercharged S2000. Twice :)

Sister's BF has a Modena, maybe we'll do it one day, but he'd take me.

SloS13 04-20-2007 03:28 PM

Toyota Yaris. Not sure if he was racing or not though.

on my old NB, naturally aspirated i smoked a mazdaspeed Protege
and that car had way more power than mine, lol... driver skills!!! FTW!
16.2 on the 1/4mi.

sorry for the S#!tty video.

hustler 04-20-2007 06:19 PM

I love going to the road course and steam rolling turbo neons, blown cobalts, vw's and pretty much anything fwd.

However I really love running over the mustang gt's and running neck and neck with the base model boxsters. I'm going on real tires next week, so it should be cooler than last time...but the track is running in reverse.

Mouglie 04-20-2007 06:35 PM

i'm loving it! :crx:

ray_sir_6 04-20-2007 07:15 PM

First day with the turbo kit I ran a 99-04 Mustang GT. Got him by almost 4 cars from 45-95. He was running dumps and an intake.

Mach1 from 70-110, was right on his ass, but had to half throttle it since I was behind him and didn't want to hit him.

Got 4+ cars on a stock VR6 GTI from 45-110.

Hold stead at 2 cars behind with mostly stock (intake) STi and EVO8s from 20-110.

3-4 cars behind a 242whp 240SX and 236whp Talon from 60-110.

I am still running off the stock wastegate @ 5.5 psi.

Mouglie 04-21-2007 12:40 AM

5.5 psi? how much horsepower is that?

miataspeed1point6 04-21-2007 12:47 AM

I don't street race because I have to try and explain to the other guy how I can't launch because of the 6" rear end. That makes me look like a wuss who just doesn't want to race or actually has a fake turbo. It's easier to just pretend I don't hear them revving.....stupid 6", who's great idea was that anyway?

ray_sir_6 04-21-2007 12:47 AM

Don't know, next trip to the dyno will be to install/tune 1.8 injectors, Begi AFPR, and 10-12 psi.

I made a pathetic 111whp on the stock Greddy kit. Then found out the plugs were extremely loose when I did the plugs/wires a few weeks later. I am sure that had alot to do with the low output.

I don't launch hard from a dig. I just roll out like any normal drive, then lay into it. Yeah, most RWD cars will kill me from a dig, but I don't really care, cause very few could hang with my car in the twisties.

I ran the Talon from a dig, slipped the clutch at 2k rpm and he couldn't catch me till 100mph. He had 100+ whp on me, and still wouldn't have caught me in the 1/4 mi.

juhanis 04-21-2007 04:32 AM

turbo carrera, 03 cobra, c5 vette, sti's. modified evo's, blah blah. that was at 13psi, on 91 octane california piss water.

akaryrye 04-21-2007 05:19 AM

Funny, all of my friends have freaking WRX's or STI's and think their shit is the fastest thing around ... Once I get my spun rod bearing fixed, ill have to take em out in the country and show them what this "gay little car" can do.

Just on the road track, and only base model bosters...which is not that impressive. Now that I have decent tires, I should probably be fairly quicker than the 2 boxsters I've been playing with at Hallett out here in OK.

magnamx-5 04-21-2007 08:59 AM

hustler has no turbo should he be alowed to count? Nothing in my neck of the woods but modded v8's some mustangs etc. An s2000 once. I dont race i just get somewhere faster than the other guy. :bigtu:

yadayada 04-21-2007 01:19 PM

that's what i'm talkn' bout'! It's all about the cars we beat that we shouldn't be able to beat, and the priceless look on the owners face when he's served his own nuts on a cutting board.

chuckerants 04-21-2007 01:54 PM

I don't "street race", but I do drive fast whenever I can get away with it. I especially like getting on the freeway AT freeway speeds unlike a lot of Arizonans. For some reason people here drive especially slow getting on the freeway. So, I've caught several Corvettes, Mustang GTs, STIs, whatever by surprise by blowing by them getting on the freeway.

None of these were races by far as they weren't even trying. BUT, the look on their faces when I flew by them is just too funny. What's even more funny is them trying NOT to let me by or even flooring it after I went by them and me getting to speed and cruising at that speed. lol

speedracerTD04 04-22-2007 11:50 AM

okay sooo...recent update...

first few kills last night.

1 older 5.0 stang
1 Turbo Civic

and kept up with an srt4 with 3 people including the driver in it.

all on 8 psi...shoulda turned it back up to 10

look on all of their faces...priceless

hustler 04-22-2007 12:49 PM

I had a lot of fun back in like 99-2002 doing highway runs in the turbo vr6. Lots of fun...and never went to jail ironically enough.

Mouglie 04-22-2007 01:52 PM

hmm, i raced a cop... eventually i got cornered by three more...

shifttosixth 04-22-2007 10:17 PM

Well I have yet to turbo my miata, but it doesnt say biggest miata kill! So in my spec I took out everything from slightly modded sti's to 6.0 gtos, but the best race was against a talon who thought he was hot shit, i raced him before at 3psi and beat him, and he made all these excuses, and I told him that my car wasnt running well and that I would run him with 10psi, anyways a summer goes by and i see him, and with four other people in the car, so five all together, I walked him. And yes some of my buddies with me were 200+lbs so you know how that is....priceless :)

xcsx 04-23-2007 10:22 AM

Hmm... Most satisfying kill? A Suzuki GSX-R 600.

There is special something about taking out a bike... :)

Yeah, I think taking a bike could definatly make your life worth while

budget racer 04-23-2007 12:54 PM

Once i get my turbo installed i'll be able to brag about beating something other than the UPS truck.

hope you have one fast miata, sub 12 seconds at least

jayc72 04-23-2007 05:49 PM

I surpised the hell out of some fag in a Solstice last summer. He was driving like a total ass so I showed him what 10psi of poorly tuned Greddy could do.

Other than that ... nothing. And I'm willing to bet that half the kills here were unaware they were in a contest of speed :)

jayc72 04-23-2007 05:52 PM

I was able to beat a GT3 at an autocross. The owner said that the course didn't work well for his car, that he was out of his powerband. Uh-huh. I drive a turbo 1.6, what do I know about power band.

RacingGreen 04-23-2007 05:54 PM

Best kill was a Mercedes SL55 AMG in the twistys on an uphill drive

Young guy (perhaps 20) with daddies car, he kept on my bumper during the whole village, falling back 5 meters and then advancing to 1m distance with a blib of the throttle
He passed me directly after the village sign with WOT, I try'd to keep behind using my nitrous (50 shot)

I got him in the first tight 120° left corner, where his ESP went on , I passed him in the INSIDE of the corner in a slight drift and and pushed me in front of him with the help of the little bottle. The face of the guy in the mercedes was priceless.

Ok , he got me on the next long straight and blasted away, but this was no more important for me :-)

I wanted to edit because of some spelling mistakes, think I did a mistake there :-)

Inital D fan???? :gay: :gay: :gay:

I've got 220 wheel HP on a ported, built, BBB FM2 and the fastest car ive beat was a 2004 GTI VR6 with medallion exhuast and exklusiv Intake from a 30 roll. I concider myself a realy good driver too. I think most of the people here are talking out their asses (specially that one guy who listed the 911 turbo and 03 cobra.....I dont think they were racing you buddy).

turbopezz 04-23-2007 09:50 PM

ive seen 12sec 1/4 mile passes with 250whp.
a 04 vr6 is slow 1/4 mile wise.my friend has one with a 6speed and ill spank him on 8psi

turbopezz 04-23-2007 09:54 PM

i love the no faith in turbo miatas coming from owners.:td:

LMFAO

Haha true stock miatas aren't that fast in straight lines but damn when you throw a turbo on em they get going quick. I've taken a 270 whp evo, couple gt's and others... Once I had a guy on a bike riding near his friends big F-350 told me at a light " hey I bet this guy can beat you" I said "ok" gave him a 3 car length headstart of the line and then blew past him. Looked like he just had a chip and exhaust although they are fast for a big heavy truck.

akaryrye 04-24-2007 12:09 AM

dude there are so many trucks out there which are ubelievably fast. When I had my upgraded wrx wagon, it was a damn fast car, but apparantly not that fast lol. I was surprised the first time thinking I was hot shit.

ya man I've seen some fast diesels. Lol I saw a video of a f-250 running like a 12.3 lol

Hey cheesenuts, sorry to here you are only making 220 whp with a built FM2. Even if you are this great driver you consider yourself to be, there are stock engines running 8psi that are making more hp than you are with your money motor. Not only do you need to reconsider your power options, maybe you need to take some driving lessons too!:gay: :gay: :gay:

I'd rather be Cummin than Strokin.

Frequently see that above the windshield of some bad ass Cummins running rigs.

Im running 10 psi and have a 2 3/8 inch exhust going through a cat and a N/A muffler. Its getting a test pipe, 3inch catback with no muffler, and a retune to 15psi soon. I do concider myself a good driver with plenty of auto-x, road racing, and drag racing experience. I highly doubt too many people are making more hp than me at 8psi and still being decent for the street. Any ass can mount a gt35 to a miata and make it a dyno queen. Im more into reliability and being able to beat the shit out of my car without thinking twice. Maybe ill turn it up to 20+psi for a dyno run so I can impress losers like you....no probly not. Oh and the GTI thing was a joke.

akaryrye 04-26-2007 12:50 AM

I think you got a cool car ... it was funny he called you cheesenuts though :). Honestly it didnt sound like you were joking though. My car at 8-9psi on Megasquirt was about as fast as a stock sti from a roll. Cant say anything more than that because for one, my car is on jacks right now, and two, i have not done much besides Autox racing with the car since buying it.
