your planned mods for next year
Affordable is relative. $1k for Miata rims is insane.
I've got 2 extra sets of rims for my otm, each was over $1k, but on a nearly $60k car.
Kegorator and maybe an alignment rack...
Oh, for the car
Suspension upgrade--still deciding, paint the front bumper (still sanding) maybe throw in the act clutch that's been on the shelf...
Then there's the MX3 and P5--- a lot longer lists
saving for college, retirement, finishing up another degree--all while maintaining 2 cases of beer a week

+1
My electrical system is fried. Got the dash out now tracking down burnt wires and gremlins.
Plans:
-DO WI
-IC spray (water)
-stickier tires for drag racing
-buy a better camcorder and hook it up to my new camera mounts
on rollbar (record some much requested BOV sounds for you guys)
-redo control panel (car has very no stock control stuff like turn
signal stalk left - mounted everything in place of radio surround)
-DIY catch can install

- Install EMU /w AFM remove via MAP
- Install my AEM WB02
- Rebuild engine (new crank, forged pistons/rods, P&P top-end, 440cc INJ)
- Rebuild DSM turbo and slap on that SR20 compressor I bought on ebay
- Install Clutch/FW happy meal
- Tune using my G-tech
Mid-year after NA setup is running and tuned) - Get Turbo'ed (Fab IC pipes; mount IC, BEGI Mani/DP)
- Tune using my G-tech
- Paint, new wheels/tires and rollbar
I'm trying to be optimistic and think I'll get it turboed in the next 12 months, but in all reality I'll probably just continue to accrue parts when I can. In the next 12 months I hope to get a house (and thus a garage) and pick up a leftover 07 MS6 so the Miata is not a DD and I can have it on jackstands for a while during the install and inevitable ******* up. Hopefully the Miata will be running 250-300whp in 16-18 mos. Delayed gratification FTL. Smart financial decisions FTW.
My list in no particular order:
-Figure out why my autotune and WBO2 don't agree on how rich/lean the car is running
-BOV
-raise boost from 4psi to 8 or 10psi
-torsen
-Simpson Design short rear bumper
-start putting together a WI setup
-corner weight and realign the car
-remind Steelrat that his car is slow :gay:
I'm sure that there are more things that will come up too...
