New Singular MotorSports Brake Ducts!
2 Attachment(s)
Singular Motorsports 2.5" and 3" brake ducts are designed to fit all 1990-2005 Miatas with wheel sizes 14" and up.
Key features of our brake ducts include: Precision Waterjet and TIG Welded Lightweight Aluminum Construction Reduced Brake Temperature Increased Rotor and Pad Life Improved Brake Consistency Made In The USA Note: There are some limitation to the hose size which you can run to the ducts: 2.5" hose is compatible with the factory under trays, requiring little to no modifications . We recommend the 2.5" brake ducts for those who want the most cooling ability with the least amount of modification. 2.5" hose can clear 15x9" wheels with the factory undertray intact and without the use of any spacers. In most cases, 3" hose requires a non-factory or fabricated under tray to clear 9" wheels or larger. With the factory plastic undertray removed, 3" hose will clear 15x9 and 15x10 with a 5mm spacer. We recommend users run the largest size brake ducts that they are able to accommodate on their car. Brake pad and rotor life is increased further with the larger diameter units, as well as a larger reduction in operating temperatures. Do these fit 11.75" brake kits? Are they ABS compatible? Besides coming from a different supporting vendor, what advantage do these offer over the very similar ducting option offered by Trackspeed that sell for $10 cheaper?

Very excited to finally have these in stock with such a great vendor and available to the community! I'll try to help out and answer specific questions that people have as they come up.
Do these fit 11.75" brake kits? Yes Are they ABS compatible? Yes Besides coming from a different supporting vendor, what advantage do these offer over the very similar ducting option offered by Trackspeed that sell for $10 cheaper? Our 2.5" and 3" brake ducts are also going to be sold through Trackspeed alongside their existing 2" design. They offer higher performance for a higher cost, as opposed to being a directly competing product. There will be those who still want the 2" for how easy the 2" hose is to route. There are a couple additional design details that ours offer, but the obvious major benefit is the larger size. Airflow increases as a square of the diameter increase, so 2.5" flows nearly double the airflow as 2" and 3" flows over triple as much. The original thing that prompted me to go down the path of designing these was hearing what the 949 guys had found for their race cars:

We did some crude testing at the shop with 2" and it only flows a useful amount of air if its pretty much straight. 2.5 is borderline with two 45* bends. 3" is awesome but, a ***** to fit... AFAIK, Andrew dropped the price on the TSE 2" units a bit so there is some progressive pricing increase as you go up in size. -Ryan |
I appreciate the quick and exceptionally thorough response. Luckily I have an MSM so I can just route them directly through the wheel well via my fog light holes and completely avoid all of the other routing nonsense. I am sure you will be seeing quite a bit of my money soon.
