I would say plan your build as if you'll get getting your parts at least a month or two after you're told you'll be getting them. But plan to be please with them when they do show up.

Thanks for the feedback and words of encouragement. Good to know I'm not the only one still waiting.

I got am update from Michael yesterday that my kit will be ready to ship Monday!!!!! Fingers crossed it ships next week, I'm looking forward to seeing the high quality kit others have mentioned.

Thumbs up

Everything arrived yesterday, and the quality lookks great! I think it was worth the wait. 1.8 swap and turbo installation will give me something to work on this winter while the Miata hibernating.

I hated FaceBook both times I gave it a chance so I deleted my account. I looked at what I could see on FaceBook and quickly got tired of scrolling for an answer...

Does the TD04, 1.8 manifold work with power steering and A/C? One person asked about the 1.6 manifold but there was no answer. The only dyno chart I saw was a built engine. What about power and spool up on an unopened 1.8 engine, specifically an NB2 like my Miata?

I'm really not sure I'm interested after hearing many haven't received their kits after 7+ months. What good is saying "Payments are done through paypal as goods and services, you have 90 days to ask for a refund if goods are not delivered for example".

all kraken kits are ps/ac compatible.
dyno chart of build and not built engines will look similar spool wise, (not talking about crazy stroker builds with huge valves, but more common pistons/rods builds) difference is built engine will not blow up at higher power outputs.

Kraken is a small and very busy business, everyone gets their products, eventually.... i personally waited 1 month.

The dyno charts are going to be exactly the same except that the stock motors should try to make less power so they don't go kablooey, so smaller turbos and/or less boost. The setup doesn't include a turbo so what power you make is based on that.

it's a bit hard to answer your question about spool up and power because it doesn't really make that much sense as the manifold and exhaust are not going to be what limit power production in these cars. All else equal, I'd expect it to spool better than the FM setup because of the better manifold.

Facebook does suck a bit but if you can tell me a better platform to keep in nearly instant contact with people I am all ears, you can reach me by email krakn08@gmail.com

Yes it does work with PS and AC, on my car I have removed the AC and modified the PS hose so it points down instead of towards the driver, photos wouldnt be very helpful to you however I have asked on facebook for some photos which I shall post here

You should see around 200-220whp, this a standard 1.8 NB with 19t wheel kinagwa compressor and full 3" exhaust

Even though I run a TD04L on my car I would say go to a T25 setup as costs are pretty much identical bar the turbocharger itself. Turbo availability is far superior on the T25 setup

From my understanding paypal covers payments up to 180 days/6 months but yes I was late in general

Received my kit this week. It shipped Monday and somehow DHL delivered it Wednesday to NJ. I got the full kit, plus the molded silicone intercooler hoses. Everything looks very well made and looks exactly like the posted pictures.

Excellent...

This is something I made last week in 2.5"

Also a year late, the new td04l vband adapter should be ready soon, with the Type2 1.6 TD04L manifold

Really hope it'll flow,,,
