Default 8.8 rear end conversion group buy

so... i have a source for axles/driveshafts. i will talk to them about doing a group buy but here is what they quoted me for my LS1 swap:

- custom 31 spline 8.8" axles (similar to BF stage 1) - $1000
- custom 31 spline 8.8" (similar to BF stage 2) axles w/ cusotm hubs - $1500
- custom LS1 -> 8.8 steel driveshaft - $325
- custom LS1 -> 8.8 aluminum driveshaft - $450

we might get better prices if several people order at the same time.

to compare this to a miata diff...

power:
miata diff - ~350whp
ford 8.8 diff - ~700whp

price:
1.8L torsen swap (used) - ~$800
8.8 swap (new axles/driveshaft/diff) - ~$2,100 (without group buy pricing / a lot of variables)

I might be interested in a set of axles depending on the price and which shop would be producing these.

10% discount on 10 orders.

$900 for "stage 1 axles"
$1350 for "stage 2 axles"

$292.50 for steel driveshaft
$405 for aluminum driveshaft

im also looking into different shops as well to see if we can get them cheaper.

Thank you. In addition to this we would need the ring and pinion plus the housing correct? I looked around for this online a bit and the costs for that look like $100-$400? Pardon my ignorance, I'm new to this rear end stuff, particularly the domestic parts.

I just bought a whole non-running V8 T bird today for $100. All that I wanted was the IRS, but at least I have another 5.0 core and an AOD trans to go with it.

How about a price on a driveshaft to go Miata transmission > 8.8?

driveshaft for miata -> 8.8 is going to be about the same. here is where i am right now:

- miataroadster is willing to provide us with custom hubs to fit whatever axles we choose
- im talking to a local shop about making a set of axles and a driveshaft for my car and if everything is good - i will post prices and we can officially start a group buy

this local shop is cheapest option so far and they made axles for several swaps that my buddy did and they all are holding up very well. one of the sets is in a 600whp car

Price for broached hubs only? I'm guessing labor only, not including hubs. I'm pretty set on everything else.
