Zabac 04-22-2008 03:43 PM

Jesus Christ, this thing is still going...lol
Funny thing, i was one of the first ones to get one and still have not installed it, god I'm lazy...

what did you replace it with? a larger thicker gasket?

BrillntBlk92 04-24-2008 12:33 PM

damn, i caught this a little too late. i'm looking for a decent aftermarket radiator to replace my stock one that likes to heat up. is this deal still going? what has everyone thought about the godspeed vs. other aftermarket radiators?

compy 04-24-2008 12:36 PM

Give them a call and see if they honor it...

Zabac 04-24-2008 12:59 PM

it's still going...you may have to wait a little while till they get more in stock, we usually buy most of their stock before they get in from China

levnubhin 04-24-2008 01:43 PM

So how many people from here have actually bought one?

I did. So have over 50 other people considering we buy them all everytime they get a shipment.

dc2696 04-24-2008 02:01 PM

For 200bux you are not going to find a better radiator, they fit perfect and look great. I had to really rev the piss out of the engine to get it warm enough to turn the fan on, otherwise it will idle forever no fan nessecary lol.

ZX-Tex 04-25-2008 02:48 PM

Just called them today. They are out of stock but expect more in 2-3 weeks.
Sorry if I missed it but I read through the thread and did not see any updates on NB fitment. Anyone have any luck? Chad?

93inNM 04-25-2008 05:12 PM

I called them yesterday, was told more will be in, about 2-3 weeks, closer to 3 weeks. CG said they would still honor the deal because so many have been purchased by this group (and other groups). Looks like May 15th would be a good time to call again.

TonyV 04-30-2008 10:01 PM

I called yest, still saying 2weeks or so...
I just went ahead and ordered it tho, didnt want u fokerz getting the drop on me and selling them out again..;)

And yea $160 is the rad, rad cap, and drain plug shipped

jedduh01 05-06-2008 05:17 PM

ordered still $160 2-3 weeks great buy... jump on it

TonyV 05-06-2008 05:22 PM

damn, still 2-3weeks??? I ordered a week ago and was told the same...was hoping to hear 1-2weeks...

Ben 05-09-2008 07:53 AM

Anybody have a godspeed they didn't install yet? Looks like my rad started to split this morning. If someone has theirs sitting in a closet that they won't be touching for a little while, I'll order you a new one if you send me yours.

Ben 05-09-2008 12:04 PM

FWIW, they said it would be 4 weeks before the new batch is in.

TonyV 05-09-2008 12:15 PM

Ben did u just call recently??? Damn, it's been a week and a half...thought I was 1/2 way done with my wait....

Ben 05-09-2008 12:16 PM

Yeah like 10 mins ago

levnubhin 05-09-2008 12:17 PM

So what about the NB fitment?

cjernigan 05-09-2008 12:43 PM

The radiator fits in an NB width wise but the filler neck is too tall. The only way to get the hood to close is to modify your lower radiator brackets so the radiator sits lower or cut a hole in the bracing of your hood. I suggest the first option.

coastertrav 05-09-2008 01:06 PM

Ok, well I am moving the radiator down and back for an over the top IC pipe setup, so that shouldn't be too bad. Is it just the filler neck that is too tall, or is the overall radiator size taller?

Zabac 05-09-2008 04:16 PM

The filler neck on the NA's is more towards the side while the NB's are towards the middle of the OEM radiator, these radiators were designed for NA's so you have to make it fit. Pretty much, you get a $160 radiator, it's not drop in and forget, but it works well and has a 1 year warranty. It suits 99% of the peoples needs here.

TonyV 05-09-2008 05:28 PM

Ok just called... Said still 2weeks out, and was pretty confident bout the shipment coming in. Apparently they ship several different products in each container. It stays there till its full, and then its sent. Thats why they get shipments of these every couple months...the the AMOUNT of rads in each shipment, basically depends on how many can be manufactured by the time the container is ready to leave...
That said they are almost sold out of these on pre-orders...I was told they may have 8-10 left. After that would be about 2months till the next shipment, give or take...
Just wanted to post an update for everyone...
On a side note, I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY hope these are as good of quality as everyone says...would hate to have to wait another 2 months (total of 3) for a rad... lol

Ben 05-09-2008 10:53 PM

well I don't know why he'd tell me 4-5 weeks when I called today, but then tell you 2 weeks. whatev. I hope for your sake it's closer to 2 weeks than 5.

TonyV 05-10-2008 10:24 AM

I dunno either, but I hope so too lol

BrillntBlk92 05-14-2008 11:41 PM

i placed an order for mine 2 weeks ago, and they told me 2-3 weeks at that time. when i called today to check the status, the guy told me it'll be another 4 weeks from today.....yea, i was pretty upset. still anxious for this bad motha radiator though, i'd just like to see my miata back up and running

TonyV 05-15-2008 12:14 AM

wwwwttttfffff? I understand things happen but this sux!!!!
4 more weeks??? And then what happens if its still more time after that?
Ahh shit, guess it's time to focus on brakes and whatnot and try to pass the time best possible...

BrillntBlk92 05-15-2008 08:17 AM

i'm starting to go through withdrawal. i'm freaking tired of driving my truck around, i need something low and fast and i wanna be able to turn faster than 30 mph!!!!

^tyrant^ 05-17-2008 07:17 PM

Is this deal still good? my radiator just popped today....

cjernigan 05-17-2008 08:00 PM

Yes its still good. It pretty much never ends.

^tyrant^ 05-17-2008 08:07 PM

good deal ill be calling them first thing monday morning... and getting my order in... and hopfuly the wait isnt too long

BrillntBlk92 05-18-2008 12:18 AM

let us know what they say about the wait time. i'm sure a lot of people other than myself r on their edge of their seats to get their radiator.....i know i am

^tyrant^ 05-18-2008 12:21 AM

Im in no real hurry to get it.. i just got the miata a month ago and its a project car so it going to be awhile before its ready

cjernigan 05-18-2008 12:32 AM

I was told by someone who ordered one today that they said 5 weeks. 4 weeks for them to get them and another week for you to receive your radiator from them.

TonyV 05-18-2008 03:18 AM

I want my damn radiator....This sucks big moose cock

TonyV 05-20-2008 07:13 PM

Well called again today hoping for some good news...

Didnt get any, actually worse...was told this time that they are expecting the shipment towards the end of June!!!! :bang:

Is there anything else out there similiar in quality/price?

Zabac 05-20-2008 09:40 PM

Quality yes-Price no.
I hope they come through, Ill call them and ask to make sure they are not just saying that to discourage you guys from calling them or maybe they think you are trying to buy one and they don't have any to sell. I'll keep you all posted.

supra441979 05-20-2008 10:05 PM

So if I order it from ebay, I have to wait 5 weeks?

cjernigan 05-20-2008 10:56 PM

Yes. They are out of stock no matter what. Other companies sell the same radiator apparently though not at the current arranged price.

Zabac 05-21-2008 12:39 AM

Talked to them tonight, third week of june they have 80 coming in with 30 already spoken for, thry did appologize for the delay, but china man is slow on shipping because they have to fill up the container.
If you get it elsewhere, try to talk them down on price, we know they can go lower.

TonyV 05-29-2008 08:39 PM

Soooooooo, anyone know if we're still good?
I'd suggest a weekly, or every other week call to keep all updated...

In the meantime, anyone doing anything interesting while waiting for your rad?

ZX-Tex 05-30-2008 12:20 AM

Well I'm installing a 18"x12"x4" IC in an over-the-top configuration in my NB. Looks like it is going to work well but I have a lot of fabrication work to do still, plus I am ordering parts as I go so it is taking awhile. But now that the Spurs are knocked out of the playoffs :vash: I'll have some more free time to get it finished. I'm getting tired of driving my slow-ass truck. Cushy, but slow.

I'm leaving room for the Godspeed radiator, but for now I'm going to use the stock one and hope it is OK. If it overheats problematically I'll be looking for a larger replacement. So I'll either go with this group buy or get something else (even if it costs a bit more) whichever comes first.

curly 05-30-2008 07:00 PM

damn I'm one of those 30 who have already spoken for the 80 coming in. but I was hoping to get it before my june 6th track day, looks like I won't.

if there is anyone in the Portland, Oregon area that happens to have a godspeed radiator uninstalled, and is willing to give it to me, you'll get a brand new one by the end of June, any takers?

TonyV 05-30-2008 07:14 PM

Lol, I think people are trying that in all parts of the country...
I'd gladly do the same plus a lil something extra, but no takers as of yet!

I'm passing the time by doing a few things...Got HD lips on there, as well as the brake system upgraded (new rotors/pads/ss lines/fluid/refreshed & painted calipers/etc), also gotta throw in my fuel pump, and I'm working on my ABS undertray at this very moment...Also have to switch oil pressure gauge & sender (from a 93), and have a steering wheel to throw in as well... All stupid things..
What I really want to address was my cooling issues, because the rest of the stuff I can do WHILE I enjoy the car...Can't do much messing around till that rad gets here..But once it does I expect to drive the shit outta my car!

dc2696 05-30-2008 08:13 PM

I've been waiting forever, think I'm gonna a get one of there I/C's shipped at the same time wish it was sooner though.

Ben 05-30-2008 08:34 PM

I spent extra and got a griffin immediately. Fuck waiting.

And as it turns out, next week I'll be a Ron Davis dealer. Whoops, maybe I should have waited. :giggle:

TonyV 05-30-2008 09:17 PM

^^^ lol

Zabac 06-12-2008 04:04 PM

Big Update!!!

Kenzo went to buy a radiator, they told him it's $140 local pickup, so Kenzo told me, I took care of it, you do not have to ask for CG anymore, just place your order to whoever picks up the phone. I spoke to another guy, I think he is the owner, and he assured me that they appreciate our business and will continue to sell these for $120 local pickup and $160 shipped.

Make crystal clear that you are a member here, miataturbo.net, not miata.net or any other miata forum, only miataturbo.net gets a discount, no one else.

The next shipment will be in about two weeks, maybe sooner, so order ahead if this was a concern to you.

Anyone else gets stipped, let me know and I'll make the call.

Thanks.

^tyrant^ 06-12-2008 04:09 PM

any idea on what the ETA might be once its ordered? i really would like to get one of these, but i dont want to wait like 4-6 weeks... its bad enuff that i cant drive cus my stocky broke

kenzo42 06-12-2008 04:12 PM

Zabac took care of the shit for me. Thanks for looking out for MT members, Zabac!

Zabac 06-12-2008 04:57 PM

Don't sweat it Kenny, it is clearly stated on page 3 (11-07-07) that the local pick up is $120.

Tyrant,

The next shipment will be in about two weeks, maybe sooner, so order ahead if this was a concern to you.
Last week of this month is when they come in, order before they sell out. Follow instructions. They are quick to ship I am sure everyone will tell you.

zcrxboy 06-12-2008 10:47 PM
