Steel and Stainless Steel Tubing (Bends)

I can get Mild and or Stainless steel at pretty close to wholesale. If anyone needs any for DIY projects, just let me know. I can get anything from 1.5"-3.0" in straight and mandrel bent pieces. I can even get some bend sequences if desired.
Let me know if you are interested.

How much would 2" 90* bends be (with legs)?

TheBandit 12-16-2006 02:35 PM

$15+ shipping for mild steel. Stainless would be $21+ shipping.

What radius are they?

TheBandit 12-16-2006 03:40 PM

2.0" is a 3" radius
2.5" is a 3.75" radius
3.0" is a 4" radius or optional 6" radius
Like I said before, they can bend up just about anything you want. If you have any specific bend configurations or radius sizes let me know and I will see what I can do.

Any chance in hell you have an aluminized 2" to 3" transition? Preferably around 6-8" long rather than a stubby one.

TheBandit 12-23-2006 12:45 PM

I can do it in two pieces for sure. I might be able to do it in one piece, I'm not sure that you can stretch out 2" all the way to 3". They are the shorter transitions rather than the long ones. It is still a fairly low divergent angle though. If you do it in two pieces, it would end up to be maybe 4" inches or so long.
Hope that helps

I'm not very good at welding but i can do it. I am looking for a mild steel 2.5" to 3.00" adapter that both pieces can slip into on each end. That gives me a little more room for error.

TheBandit 12-23-2006 08:25 PM

I might be able to do that for you, it isn't something asked for very often. If you are interested, I can ask what it would cost. If I can get it done, it should be in the $15-$20 range.

Ok let me see what i get to next week and i will see if and when i will need it

y8s 12-27-2006 02:00 AM

not to bust open thebandit's offer, but you can get 2.5-3 transitions two-fer at JC Whitney or Summit or somewhere. not too bad.

TheBandit 12-27-2006 02:12 AM

Generally the ones found on Summit and the like are just pipes that are swelled up, the ones that I use have an angled transition, which generally is more flow friendly. If flow is not a concern, then the summit brand will do just fine.
