2015 Dodge Challenger SRT8 Hellcat
Yea...it's something like 450lbs heavier than the camaro z28...where are they hiding all that weight?
700+ hp on a factory car with a warranty...that's pretty nutty.

Keep in mind, this would replace my '07 Altima and be a daily driver for me. I'd still have the Miata to play with, an '04 Envoy and a '07 3500 Silverado.
I liked the SRT8 when I test drove it, my only complaint was it was underpowered. Problem solved. lol

I think it's mostly the chassis/frame.
I was lurking a bunch of the new camaro/mustang forums, and their weight redux threads are pretty sad - 90% of the posts are "JUST ADD MOAR POWER" and the ones that actually try to reduce weight hit a dead end real quick

There is some cool tech in that car. If you are still keeping your miata it sounds like a legit DD if you can afford it. For the money, there are lots of good options. I am not sure that I would take this car over a new C7, but 2 seats vs 4 seats. I do like what they did with it. The digital dash is pretty cool. I would take one if someone gave it to me for sure!

Tim - I was looking at the Charger as well, but I think I'd go with the Challenger. I have a 4 door now and hardly ever use it as a 4 door. 2 Doors, 4 seats works for me!
I have my doubts about it after doing some reading. They're talking about a possible limited run and a huge mark up on these. Comments have been made that there will NOT be a limited run and dealers will have to be within reason, but its all interweb jabber.
Once its available for preorder I'm going to Dodge to see what the real story is. My father is the one that showed it to me and is pushing me to get it, which makes me feel even more so like its a good idea.

I thought I saw something somewhere saying these were a little underrated as well. Supposedly capable of 200mph too if aero permits.

Personally, I think that challengers are one of the few cars that look better in pictures than in person. The power, and price, are impressive though if they're actually available at anything close to msrp. It'd be an awesome car to tell your grandkids about in forty years.

I can. Think of at least ten (automotive) things I'd do with $70k before buying this car, but after all that it'd be pretty sick.
High on the list among those things is a clean used CTS-V (in any form you choose) + some bolt ons.

Or you could get this alternative Fiat product for less money and have the automotive personification of coitus.
