I think all threads, if long enough, eventually go to this at some point.

Wrong. They call it MAIN BEARING support plate because your toothpick sized neck just doesn't have the stamina to keep bobbing up and down for a long enough period of time. Also, this is a JDM motor ******, so remember that it was born on the other side of the planet. They drive on the right side of the road over there in the southern hemisphere so you have your shit all mixed up. If this were a Ford, Toyota, or other US make car you would be correct. But this is a longitudinally mounted JDM block so you're straight up wrong. The oil must go to the head. How do you think it gets there? You pour your oil in the valve cover--- where do you think it goes? It stays right there and hence the need to control the camshat frothing action. You STFU and stay right there on my kiwi.
So...oil stays in the valve cover, never leaves the head through the drain holes, enters the crankcase where it's picked up by the oil pump pickup and is pumped to the main crank bearings and then on to the upper end? Do you have any clue how an engine is designed? You cannot possibly be this fucking stupid. You do realize that gravity works the same in Japan as it does here and engines there are not engineered upside down compared to ours, right. This is, by far one of the dumbest fucking things I have ever heard. Oh, another thing the reason your EGTs go up with a richer fuel mix is due to the latent heat of vaporization effect. Richer=wetter. A wetter fuel mix carries the heat out of the cylinder better than a dry one. You should stop posting till you know what the fuck you are talking about. I think you should stick with something you can handle like a Sawsall... wait, that's no good either. Try a crossword puzzle you douchebag. Better yet, keep posting that way everybody will know how big of a dumbass you are and get a free laugh. EDIT:Unless you were being sarcastic and I missed it, in which case I would be a stupid, dumbass douchebag bag and should shut the fuck up till I know what the I'm talking about or risk be ridiculed. Sorry. |
I have seen both the 5QT and the 4QT containers. The Walmarts around here have he 5QT containers and the Autozones have the 4QT containers (which usually have "1 GALLON" stamped on them instead of 4 QTs). Really odd.

This is one of the dumbest threads so far on this site. Mods plz move this to m.net.
Oh and if you couldn't tell fae was joking with that last post... |

This is really simple and you can try it at home. Put egg whites in a bowl and stir it up really hard with a whisk...it will foam up. If you use a Kitchen-Aid mixer to experiment, but a dozen eggs in and the whipped liquid will overflow and cause a huge mess. What do you think the cam loaves are doing when you overfill the head with oil? This happens with every engine but when you overfill enough the whipped peaks become to tall and light to lubricate and if the engine doesn't fail from lubricity, then the engine will ingest the whipped oil through the PCV and hydro-lock.

I've heard these ridicules things before. If he was being sarcastic, I missed it and I apologize for my sarcasm on his sarcasm. Sorry it's still too early for my brain to be fully functioning. I'll shut up now.

I heard if you overheat your engine the cam loaves will rise too much and make it lock up. True or false?

1. Make massive fun of him for being a douche 2. Tell him his actual problem and hope he listens It's his head gasket, isn't it? My thought was a poor tune cause the head gasket to go, then the oil/water mix screwed up his bearings. Or am I missing something. for a second i thought his car broke because he left his drain plug off after adding 5-quarts of UBER HIGH QUALITY MOBIL-1 SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL shame, the aforementioned would have been more socially acceptable. :( |

And when he had taken some unleavened cams and given thanks, he broke them and gave them to the machine shop, saying, "This is my motor which is given for you; do this to make horsepower for me.
