the cool part about active release...unlike chi, is it is real and not debatable. I fought trying it for a long time because I thought it was so bullshit new age ****, but its used frequently in sports therapy.

Interesting... sounds a bit like Rolfing http://www.rolf.org/ . My brother-in-law is a practitioner of that.

I had my chiro guy do that on my old quad injury 15 years after it happened and it worked fine. Before that I couldn't kick a soccer ball 10 feet and after I was back to normal.

For anyone who was interested in acupuncture:
BlueCross does cover acupuncture. I found an acupuncture place that is "in-network" which means that insurance will cover 90% of my costs. I'm off to be needled today at 3:30p hah.
