My current, and only, bass is a old 89' Fender P-Bass "Lyte" deluxe (J-spec)- a nice jass neck with active p-bass pickup configuration. One day I would like to have a Rickenbacker, an older MusicMan and a 70's Jazz bass with the maple neck and black block inlays.

I've jumped around from brand to brand over the years. I had a amazing Ibanez GRS for the longest time, sold it. Then moved on to a standard Jazz and gave it away because I couldn't sell it fast enough. Jumped around some more and now I've been stuck on my honey blonde Yamaha BB reissue. I doubt I'll ever sell it, I just can't seem to grow tired of it even after 5 years. A few months ago I scored a 1980 Mastumoku Vantage VS-600 off talkbass.com from a studio player in New York getting in a divorce.....dear god, best 200 bucks I have ever spent. I can't seem to find it's equal. The older J-Spec basses are severely underrated.

Make sure you hold onto the Precision Lyte, they are going up in value. Plus, as you said, they are so dope to play. A friend of mine had one and I would just go ape shit over it.

I had a chance to play a Ibanez Prestige 5 string last time I was in Orlando. It was amazing, to say the least. Easily the best neck I have ever played. I was completely floored by how nice the instrument was. Some guy came into the store the day before and sold it to them in need of some fast cash. They only wanted 980 for it but I didn't have the cash at the time. Fuck....I want another Ibanez now..

Lighten up. Statistically speaking men are the worst drivers from a death and citation point of view. Women are closing the gap pretty quickly though, so in a few years who knows?

It's just my general experience that a lot of women don't have that great of awareness on the road. Accidentally cutting someone off, sitting at the green light while txting, etc.

I drive like a bat out of hell most times and have the speeding tickets to prove it. Never been in a wreck (knock on wood). My sister on the other hand totaled a car because she swerved to miss a kitten, and has put her car in the ditch more times than I can count, lol.

Just sayin.. :)

This is basically my thought when I  at Y8s, just to lighten up and not take it all so seriously.

Personally I drive like a fucking psycho on the roads and I've only been involved in ONE wreck in 13 years of driving, and while I accept full responsibility for it there were a number of things beyond my control which contributed heavily to my crash. My driving ability proved helpful in not involving any other vehicles which were in very close proximity to me after losing control.

Vehicle wasn't mine, had not so good tires and the roads were deceptively slick. Car in adjacent lane started to merge into the side of the car I was driving while entering a curve where I started to apply the brake. Slowed down quickly enough to avoid the car hitting me but losing the ass end of the vehicle and it started to come around clockwise. Long story short, I should have let them just hit me because the bullshit with insurance would have been FAR less hassle.

I will give you old drivers and I will give you foreign drivers (because many don't have that much experience here) but my wife still has her first car from 1998 and it's never been in a wreck. I let her drive the turbo miata--though she is intimidated by it because she knows it's my baby.

My point is that it's all anecdotal. I see tons of bad drivers of any age, sex, and color all the time. I notice the worst offenders for recklessness however are black guys from cities. Oakland and DC both had this same phenomenon.

but to make my point in pictures that everyone can enjoy:

Despite it's damn-near impossible clutch and tendency to spin tire, my mom has driven my C5 to work before.

That's quite impressive actually.

I seem to see correlation between a bad parental driver and then a bad son or daughter driver.

A few girls I know that are bad drivers, also have awful driving moms.

I met Patrick a while back... she is short as fuck. Would definitely smash hard as fuck though.
