In a discussion about similar things I used the difference in the bell curve shape among common metrics between the sexes to explain some things and I quote:

"Bell curves in general are a load of **** and shouldn't be thought of as cold hard fact. So just stop."

I feel your pain.

What I find even more annoying is the blunt reality that the world is, in fact, filled with graphs that are total bullshit. In a way, I fear that this barrage of false and misleading statistical correlation might be numbing the general public to the science of statistics in general.

Just about everybody is susceptible to being mislead with statistics.

All the **** you see floating around facebook now. No citation or source and if you find the source it turns out the study is total garbage.

I recently saw an article about sexism in videogames where it was claiming that something like 90% of women find videogames sexist. Sample size was 6 people. SIX PEOPLE.
