Earlier today, I was in the new audio control room. We're finished with construction and wiring, and are down to configuration. I was sitting at the left console, applying little P-touch labels to every fader strip to denote the functions of all of the programmable buttons. Tedious, repetitive work.



So I had Pandora running on one of the computers, routed through the console and the control room speakers. Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Tool, Screaming Trees... Good mainstream rock. And loud.

One of the younger guys in my department (younger being mid to late 20s) happened to be walking by. He stepped into the control room and said something to the effect of "rockin' out to the retro stuff!"


Retro? Alice in Chains is ******* retro now?!?
