Edit- nm looks like it could be a drum or some round thing made of sheet metal.

 

This is a fun in car video from the leader of a Spec Miata race at Road Atlanta. The staggered start for the Spec Miatas and the Spec E30's didn't go as planned and the leaders of SM came rushing around the last corner to find the E30's just pulling away from the starting line. Madness ensues. Lots of passing and re-passing.
