Why is Pie Town technically non-existent? I was there in early 2015, did something change?
it's a "census-designated place," not a city or a town.

SO no more in studio camera guys? You took their jobs?
Robocams have been pretty standard for the past 15 years or so. WGN is actually kind of unique in that we do employ a number of full-time camera operators, as our main newscast has two Stedicams and one crane, and as part of the new build I'm adding a third Stedi and a second crane.
I went to K1 Speed last night with a singles group. Ran into the crew from ETS and ended up hanging out with them the rest of the time. I happy to report there were no women there I was interested in impressing. It would not have gone well.

Reason: Pics too big!!!
I've ridden that exact stretch of road well over 100 times. It's Mulholland Hwy headed down to the Rock Store. Just so you know where it's located, I've painted a Google image. The vid opens in the long straight inside the peach circle and most of the twisties are inside the purple area. The pink area is the end of the video, and the road next to the white dashed line is not in the video.
There is a pulloff along the long straight in the peach area that is a 24/7/365 gathering spot for people likely to be featured in internet videos just like this. Most normal out-for-a-Sunday-jaunt riders have a healthy fear of riding through the peach area for fear of what the giant douches going in and out of the turnoff are going to do. 100% of your brainpower is devoted to keeping one of them from killing you along that particular 1/4 mile stretch. I have personally seen 2 live crashes happen in front of me there, and driven past at least half-dozen fresh incidents, including one guy where I saw his exposed tib-fib that I swear one of his buddies was about to pee on to help sterilize it.
