In an unrelated turn of events, this one truly goes to 11:

Haha . . . I confess, I have many fond memories of enjoying the wall of sound back in the day.

Now that I think of it, I'm sure there are also just as many memories I've lost from that era.

I truly wish I could empathize, but I'm a relative young'un. 41, and didn't attend my first concert until '90 or '91.

Still, I respect the great legends. I consider myself fortunate that I got to work alongside several of the really serious pioneers of recording and PA early in my career. And I have the hearing loss to prove it.

I've been fascinated of late by the tremendous diversity of unusual, and largely forgotten electronic / electromechanical instruments which came to be during the 20th century.

Here's one for those with short little attention spans. Easier on the eyes too.

So I truly started my progressive twin turbo project.
In the spirit of thoroughness I decided to start with heat management.

What I have now is a removable, full coverage, air gap trans tunnel heat shield:

9 mm air gap between the heat shield and the tunnel all around.
Also, I cleaned and undercoated the whole bottom of the car, plus the top of the heat shield for added protection.

Aluminum frame is covered with soft closed cell insulation material (stuff I used inside the car) to eliminate rattles and such.

Mounts at 12 points - I converted the shifter boot bolts into long stainless studs, and used 8 rivnuts...

Next step: A very unorthodox method to extract heat generated by the turbos outta the car.
Many rivets to squeeze...

Turns out the Linksys AC4000 (EA9300) continually drops connections and is not reliable.

Can some recommend me a new router to cover a 2000 sqft house, 2 stories + basement + detached garage? I need it to be able to work with smart home devices that only connect to 2.4ghz. Budget friendly preferred, but will go up around $200 if needed.

If you only need Wi-Fi and router itself works fine wired up - then look at Ubiquity WAPs.

Which ironically happened last night. It's usually best to stop, even if the boat can keep going.

Poor Cal.
