Been an industrial mechanic for over 10 years now and have only seen a handful of snap on tools actually being used by anyone. When i have it was a specialty tool, they have nice crow foot wrenches. Though i have a set of Proto crow foot wrenches and they're fantastic.

I ran into the house and flung myself onto my bed, pounding the bed with my fists. I pounded and pounded, until finally, behind me, I heard a voice. "As long as you're pounding, why not use this?" I turned, and it was Dad, holding a brand-new solid-gold hammer. I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes and ran to Dad's outstretched arms. But suddenly, he jumped out of the way, and I went sailing through the second-story window behind him. Whenever I hear about a kid getting in trouble with the drugs, I like to tell them this story.

When you make a living using hand tools its stupid to use cheap ones.

Yes there are times you need a cheap Ford wrench, hammer or Crescent, but most days higher quality is better.

Snap on wrenches, ratcheting screwdrivers, sockets ext. are simply better. Yes they are stupid expensive but so are planes and lives.

The Gambia is a tiny country (population: 2.2 million) with a horrible past and incredibly warm, naive people.
We have been to the dungeons where slaves were held till the boats arrived, and it is very difficult to talk about the conditions in those places.
The river was used as a highway to transport some 20 million slaves to the Atlantic over the years.

Muslim slave drivers from the Arabian peninsula were bringing these captured people to the coast and selling them to European traders.
Everybody was in on it.

We go to places an average tourist wouldn't dream of. Actual villages, real problems.
What gets me is how genuine, trusting and open these people are.

We have been here for 25 days now. I have frogs in my bathroom, birds of prey in front of my room, crocs in the river and mosquitoes all over, but it is just a peaceful, nice place with wonderful people.
