Someone snap that fluorescent diffuser back up before OSHA finds out.

Can't you just drape a pillow case over it or something?

Is that just a disconnect or is it some kind of a fail-over switch arrangement for generator backup or something?
This appears to be a 3W Delta, hence Joe's comments about residential building. Joe, is your service "network", which would be 120 / 208, rather than 120 / 240? If so, this could well be set up for 208V lighting circuits. I also suspect this is not live, and an upstream disconnect is locked open. |

This particular box was up on 56, which is odd, as that floor is mostly just storage units. (Think of a tiny U-Store-It, located on the top floor of a building.) There aren't any large loads up there that I am aware of, it's mostly just florescent lighting. Obviously the chiller plant is up on the roof, but this box is way too small to service that. The pumps and boilers are down in B2. I suppose it could be for an elevator, but the machine rooms are all in the core of the building, and this was out on one of the wings. It's a mystery. Anyway, hauling humorously large and heavy shit: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...0da26b2bc2.jpg I always love the look in the Home Depot guy's face as we're carrying the load out on a cart, and we stop at my little car instead of the pickup truck two spaces down. |
I would never dare hook a strap on the fender lip.
You could damage the fender and lose your cargo. |
The fenders are already damaged, as you can see.
I've secured a lot of loads this way, and never had a problem. That sheet metal is stronger than it looks. Just think about how much effort is required to roll the fenders. |

Btw Joe, what happened with the punk that hit your fender?
|
Oh Nov. 4th, how did we come to this. The "haha, just kidding" never came.

Yeah, that's crazy! You should secure it to the rear wheel. It's much stronger than the fender lip.
And then I was hit by a wave of the lazy. |
Never to the wheel because it spins. Hook it to the upper control arm.
|
If you lash to the axles you'll have self tightening tow straps.

So very many haters... :giggle:
If your Miata doesn't happen to be a beater that you can strap shit to without worrying about a little body damage, then I'm happy for you. ;) https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...abde1fceeb.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...784f12ae38.png https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...fb881665d3.png I'm sure that first one poses absolutely no hazard to the driver in the event of an accident. |
Variable tension frequency tow strapŠ for the heaviest loads.
edit- first one might be shopped, just a guess... |

The other save were much better.

No, it was from a web page where a guy posts photos of all of the weird crap that he hauls around on his car. I'm hoping that photo was taken before the straps were put in place, but you never know.
Edit- nm looks like it could be a drum or some round thing made of sheet metal. |
This is a fun in car video from the leader of a Spec Miata race at Road Atlanta. The staggered start for the Spec Miatas and the Spec E30's didn't go as planned and the leaders of SM came rushing around the last corner to find the E30's just pulling away from the starting line. Madness ensues. Lots of passing and re-passing.

This is pretty funny.

I did a thing.
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1360676570 https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1360676570 Actually, I did it awhile back. I always wondered what they looked like inside the frame. |
I killed a miata awhile back and I'm currently trying to dispose of the body. You use a sawzall or a circular for that?

even if i bought a size larger and it shrunk, the material is too shitty anyway and the bottom got all stretched out like i was wearing a little sun dress.

Seriously though, the sundress thing is exactly what happened to all of mine. I bought 3 the fist time. Now my wife wears them when she is lounging around. She has no idea what over and under steer actually means.
