Guy 7 houses down had an old Celica GT of that vintage in his yard forever. Just when I was working up courage (and money) to knock on his door it disappeared. Forever sadface. I learned to drive stick on an '83 (still RWD)...grandpa taught me to pop the clutch first night.

I had an '81 Celica ST. Completely stripped, but it had a 5 speed, full gauges, was RWD, and was nearly bulletproof. That same engine/drivetrain was in the small trucks for many years afterwards. I really liked that car.
