Probably my favorite "bad guy" of all time. And one of the only ones that I actually find a bit scary.

Strange when you go back and look in your old photo folders what can be found..

Built this in 2004.. GMPP block with 4340 crankshaft, manley h-beam rods, weisco forged pistons, 10:1 CR, GMPP L31 iron heads, big valves, ground guides, LT4 "hot cam" with Comp pushrods and 1.6 roller rockers, Edelbrock Performer RPM, edelbrock 600 carb (has since been switched over to a 725 Road Demon) some $99.00 "afterburner" headers, MSD 6AL, 7 quart pan and some crazy *** HVHP oil pump that makes like 30psi @ idle..

Rockers:

Running the oil pump with a drill motor

First start:

I call it... the Transmission Killer!

'74 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme we bought for $75 from some little old lady. Had a "Rocket 350" Olds motor that spun a rod bearing in my brothers driveway. Transmissions: That car has been through 3 "built" 700R4s, 1 "built" 200R4, 3 "bulletproof" TH350s, and currently has a blown up TH400. IIRC, With a bunk Th400 the car only dyno'd like 420rwhp so you wouldn't think it could really kill transmissions and it's definitely not abused.. Maybe that 2.73 ring and pinion 10 bolt doesn't help matters? It'll go damn near 100 in 2nd gear and only weighs 4200 pounds. That can't have anything to do with it, right? I personally know the transmission builder and his ***** golden...

Finally talked him into a TKO and 12 bolt with a slightly lower ratio. Car has giant SSBC 4 pot front calipers and huge rotors along with some 13" drums on the rear. His intention for the car is to run in some desert road race in Nevada or someplace south-west, so he plans on adding a turbo or two soon. That should be interesting.

Fun walk down memory lane. For me, anyway.
